A fairly upsetting post by a former member of the Arisia board on repeated mishandling and ignoring of reported conduct issues:

"Why I’m Not At Arisia Anymore: My Rapist is President. Again."

I don't go to Arisia anyway, but I know a bunch of you do, so I wanted to give it a bit of a signal boost.

Holy _shit_.

The rapist in question is the person I've been working under for the last two years at con, and I am furious at having _yet another_ department of Arisia be ruined for me as a volunteer by assholes raping my friends.

WTF. They are a worse bunch of assholes than I could have possibly imagined. Thinking about how to deal with this. I may just have to go to a concom and corporate meeting to stand up and demand if they are going to keep their resident rapist running the safety team.

The violation is disgusting, and the mishandling by Arisia leadership is mindboggling. All kinds of lines have been crossed, but the one that gets to me most (on the part of Arisia personnel) is the attempt to intimidate her into not filing a restraining order. So much WTF.
